Pre-registration for the NASH homecoming dance is open now! You must pre-register before you purchase your tickets.  Simply go to the NASH homepage and fill in the form. Complete your ticket purchase during all lunches beginning on Monday September 24th If you are bringing a guest from outside of the school, be sure to complete the guest form as well.  Don’t miss out!

Attention all seniors. The nomination ballot for homecoming court is open now through Wednesday September 12th  All seniors are on the ballot. Go to the nash homepage and select the nomination form to cast your vote today. Winners will be announced by the end of the week. Every senior’s vote counts! Underclass student votes will not be counted.

First semester seniors with a QPA of 3.95 or higher can apply for membership to the National Honor Society.  These students should see Mr. Tengowski in room 314 for the NHS application packet.

Hashtag STEMinism will have an informational meeting during homeroom, this Thursday, September 13, in the Multi-Purpose room of the library. HashtagSTEMinism supports girls and women in STEM by providing excellent opportunities such as educational talks and trips. EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to come!

Attention all GOAL students: We will have our monthly GOAL meeting for both juniors and seniors in the auditorium during homeroom on Wednesday, September 12th. All GOAL students should plan to attend.

Students who have participated and new students interested in gaining experiences in World Affairs are welcome to attend a meeting today after school in The Place to learn about The Global Leadership Certificate program sponsored by the World Affairs Council.  All are welcome to attend . Interested in running for a Senior Class Officer position — not affiliated with Student Council.  There will be an informational meeting held on September 19th during homeroom in room 313. Mark your calendars.  The senior class officers have a role in designing the senior t-shirts, prom, senior citizen prom, senior banquet and graduation.  Interested? Stop in to 313 on the 19th! College Admission Counselors will start visiting this month. The representatives will meet with students interested in receiving information about a college/university or trade school. Any student who wants to meet with the college rep should sign up through Naviance. A confirmation email for the meeting will be sent to the student to be used as the pass to attend the meeting.

Attention all NASH Students: NA Project Water is hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 12th for anyone who would like to volunteer as part of Project Water’s Team for the 2018-19 school year. The meeting will be held in Mrs. Prosser’s room (room 369) before school at 6:50 AM and will cover basic team goals and expectations for the coming year. We hope to see you there to help us further our mission! If you are unable to attend this meeting but want to get involved, please stop by room 369 for more information.

Do you like to dance? Do you want to share your dancing talent with the community? Do you want to have fun with friends dancing like no one is watching? If you said yes to any of these questions, dance club is for you! Come to the first meeting on Monday, September 17 in the NAI lower gym from 2:45 to 4 PM to have some fun! If you are interested in fashion, modeling, designing, or have any other interest in the fashion community, you should consider joining fashion club. The first meeting is this Thursday, September 13 in room 197.  There will be pizza and activities. We hope to see you there!

If you’re looking for something to put on your application that colleges would love to see, join the National English Honors Society for projects and activities that are volunteer-based. Our first meeting will be held in the NASH library on Thursday September 13. See Mrs. Omasits in room 236 for any questions. Please note that if you cannot attend the meeting to see Mrs. Omasits as soon as possible to fill out the mandatory application due by Wednesday, September 18th.

How do you communicate underwater, through windows, or even silently?  Join the American Sign Language Club to find out! We will explore sign language, song covers, games, and deaf culture.  There’s an informational meeting on Friday 9/14 in the MPR (next to the library) during homeroom. Attention All NASH Clubs!  Is your club interested in participating in the homecoming parade? It’s great fun, and you can organize your group with or without a float on wheels. It’s time to start planning.  Please have one representative fill out the form by September 14! See your advisor or Mrs. Hawbaker in room 190 for more info. All floats or organized clubs in the parade must design their theme to reflect this year’s homecoming theme, “Midnight in Paris”.  First and second place winners will receive cash prizes of $125 or $75 for their organization.
