Let’s take the energy on the road this week to support Tiger Football as our team takes on Canon-Mac this Friday. Join us for a tailgate at NASH at 5:00pm. Kickoff is at 7:00pm at Canon-Mac. There is not a bus this week, so make sure that you have a ride arranged!! The game is USA themed. Wear your Red, White, and Blue to school on Friday to show your spirit!! Tigers Are Hungry.

DECA, an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management,is looking for motivated students who enjoy a challenge. To learn more about DECA, attend one of the informational meetings–Monday, September 17, after school, or Tuesday, September 18, during homeroom. Both meetings will be held in the Multi Purpose Room in the Library.

Pre-registration for the NASH homecoming dance is open now! You must pre-register before you purchase your tickets.  Simply go to the NASH homepage and fill in the form. Complete your ticket purchase during all lunches beginning on Monday September 24th If you are bringing a guest from outside of the school, be sure to complete the guest form as well.  Don’t miss out!

Seniors are asked to check their NA email for account for an invitation to pick up an application for NHS from Mr. Tengowski in Room 314. Again, seniors should check their email to see if they were invited to apply to NHS. Juniors will be contacted in the Spring to possible induction. Fall induction is for Seniors only.

Hashtag STEMinism will have an informational meeting during homeroom today in the Multi-Purpose room of the library. HashtagSTEMinism supports girls and women in STEM by providing excellent opportunities such as educational talks and trips. EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to come!

NASH’s Jewish Cultural Club will have its first meeting on Tuesday, September 18th. Everyone is welcome! Please join us in room 227 after school on the 18th. See Mrs. Rhinehart with any questions.

College Admission Counselors will start visiting this month. The representatives will meet with students interested in receiving information about a college/university or trade school. Any student who wants to meet with the college rep should sign up through Naviance. A confirmation email for the meeting will be sent to the student to be used as the pass to attend the meeting.

If you’re looking for something to put on your application that colleges would love to see, join the National English Honors Society for projects and activities that are volunteer-based. Our first meeting will be held TODAY in the NASH library. See Mrs. Omasits in room 236 for any questions. Please note that if you cannot attend the meeting to see Mrs. Omasits as soon as possible to fill out the mandatory application due by Tuesday, September 18th.

How do you communicate underwater, through windows, or even silently?  Join the American Sign Language Club to find out! We will explore sign language, song covers, games, and deaf culture.  There’s an informational meeting on Friday 9/14 in the MPR (next to the library) during homeroom. Through videoconference and live streaming, you can meet with surgeons, professionals, and experts from The Cleveland Clinic for lectures, interactive discussions, and career exploration.  On Tuesday, September 18, 2018, you can learn about the career field of a Physician Assistant from 9:00 – 10:00 in the NASH PLACE. Sign up through Blackboard under the 18-19 NASH GOAL and Enrichment Opportunities, or stop by the GOAL Office, room 249A, to pick up a permission form.

Attention All NASH Clubs!  Is your club interested in participating in the homecoming parade? It’s great fun, and you can organize your group with or without a float on wheels. It’s time to start planning.  Please have one representative fill out the form by September 14! See your advisor or Mrs. Hawbaker in room 190 for more info. All floats or organized clubs in the parade must design their theme to reflect this year’s homecoming theme, “Midnight in Paris”.  First and second place winners will receive cash prizes of $125 or $75 for their organization.
