Attention all National English Honors Society applicants…Please complete your application online and turn in your $20 fee to Mrs. Omasits by Wednesday, September 19. Attention Seniors: Interested in running for a senior class officer position?  There will be an informational meeting held on Wednesday, September 19th during homeroom in room 313.  Mark your calendars. The senior class officers have a role in designing the senior t-shirts, prom, senior citizen prom, senior banquet and graduation.  Interested, stop in to room 313 on the 19th!  See you there.

Please consider this opportunity to talk with students in the Ukraine on the topic of Peace and Reconciliation. This is a live back and forth dialogue with other high school students.  We meet this Friday September 21st during periods 1 and 2, in The Place- next to the library. These videoconferences are a part of the Generation Global program and part of the Tony Blair Institute.  The program encourages conversation on timely topics among high school students from around the world. We will conduct a series of these conversations throughout the year. All are welcome to attend. See Mrs. Will in the GOAL office with any questions and to get a pass

Are you interested in how you impact the world around you? Would you like to compete in different science activities and get creative? Want to spread awareness on sustainable practices? Pre-registration for the NASH homecoming dance is open now! You must pre-register before you purchase your tickets.  Simply go to the NASH homepage and fill in the form. Complete your ticket purchase during all lunches beginning on Monday September 24th If you are bringing a guest from outside of the school, be sure to complete the guest form as well.

Are you frustrated with the political climate?  Do you think it’s time for change and for young voices to be heard?  If so, we need you. NASH students are invited to apply for internships with various campaigns this fall including US Congressman Conor Lamb, US Congressman Keith Rothfus and State Representative Mike Turzai and candidate Emily Skopov.  Please see Mr. Pirring in room 328 during homeroom this week for details.

Attention any student interested in military service after high school: the ASVAB test is required and will be given at NASH on Wednesday, October 10th during the school day. Sign up in the counseling office to register for the test. If you miss the opportunity to take the test here at NASH, you can always take the test at the Federal Building in Pittsburgh.

Through videoconference and live streaming, you can meet with surgeons, professionals, and experts from The Cleveland Clinic for lectures, interactive discussions, and career exploration.  TODAY you can learn about the career field of a Physician Assistant from 9:00 – 10:00 in the NASH PLACE. Sign up through Blackboard under the 18-19 NASH GOAL and Enrichment Opportunities, or stop by the GOAL Office, room 249A, to pick up a permission form.

Do you want to become a North Allegheny Majorette?  Then the 5th Annual North Allegheny Majorette Mini-Camp is where you need to be.  The mini-camp is open to grades K-11 and will be held on Wednesday nights beginning October 3rd.  Registration will be at Ingomar Elementary School on Wednesday, September 26, and Monday, October 1, from 6pm to 8pm.
