Gather up 10-12 friends and get yourselves signed up for the school-wide KICKBALL tournament at Newman Stadium on Sunday, November 18. The registration cost is $10 per player!  Once again, just $10 per player!! The proceeds will help ensure that No Child Fights Alone in their battle against pediatric cancer. Sign up NOW via the link posted on Blackboard or Twitter to guarantee your team’s chance to reign as the kickball champions of the 2018-2019 school year.

Attention all students.  The Winter sports season is just around the corner and the North Allegheny Boys and Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Bowling Teams would like to invite you to our intramural program.  Starting next Monday, and continuing every Monday and Wednesday until mid-November, we will meet at Perry Park Lanes in McCandless from 3 to 5 pm. For $5 a session, you can throw 3 games of bowling and start warming up you bowling arm.  All skill levels are encouraged to attend… seasoned and recreational bowlers, alike. Everyone is welcome. Again the North Allegheny Bowling Program is gearing up for the upcoming season by hosting bowling intramurals starting on Monday.  Come join another NA winning sports program.

A reminder to all students thinking about participating in the trip to London in 2020: There is an informational meeting tonight at 7:00 pm in the NASH Library. Come by and get all of the info. you need to make your decision about the trip!

Attention all HOSA members! Our first meeting will be this Thursday, October 18 at NASH in the MPR room. Our speaker is a clinical assistant professor in the division of general internal medicine at UPMC Presbyterian-Shadyside. Come prepared with your questions!  Please also remember to turn in your $20 membership fee (cash in an envelope with your name on it or check made payable to NAI) to Mrs. Spak in room 363. The deadline will be this Friday, so you can turn it in at the meeting.

On Sunday, November 18, you’ll have your chance to play at Newman Stadium!  TigerThon is hosting a kickball tournament for ALL high school students. Organize a team of 10-12 players to sign up.  The cost is $20 per player and includes a t-shirt! Designate ONE team captain to complete the registration process for your team. Registration opens this morning at 8:10 am!  Make sure that you sign up quickly!! We’ll see you in action on the turf! No Child Fights Alone!

The next Spanish Club meeting will be held Wednesday, October 24th in Mrs. Lasitis’s foods room from 2:30-3:30. Please remember to bring your $20 dues.

German Club is meeting Friday after school in room 218.  All are welcome. Snacks will be provided.

The Investment Club will have a meeting after school in Room 244 TODAY.  If you are still interested in the Wharton School competition, this meeting is very important.

Would you like to learn about careers in communications: journalism, photojournalism, media law, broadcasting, or multimedia/web design?  Would you like to compete in student journalism contests? Would you like to participate in workshops with Point Park professors? If you answered YES to any of those questions, then please join us for High School Media Day at Point Park University on Friday, November 2nd.  The cost of this field trip is $15. The cost includes one or two workshops, a keynote speaker, a competition if you choose one, transportation, breakfast, and lunch. Please express your interest to Mrs. Lombardi in the GOAL Office, room 249A, by Friday, October 19th. You can sign up via the link on Blackboard or by stopping by the GOAL Office.
