Attention all Nash!  Our annual Canned Food Drive is underway! Every 50⊄ equals one can, and daily awards will be given.  Each student who brings in 20 cans or more will be entered into a raffle for an award, including a free pass to an athletic event or stage performance or MORP. The homeroom with the most cans at the weeks end will receive a donut breakfast. Only 20 cans = one raffle ticket entry.  This year our goal is 10,000 cans and all proceeds will be going to the North Hills Food Bank. We CAN do this NASH!!!!

There is no better resource than someone who was where you are and is where you want to be. Meet with NA grads who are currently attending Yale, Penn State Schreyer Honors College, Brown, Rhode Island School of Design (and probably more).  These sessions will occur in the college rep room (the glass-enclosed space next to the NASH auditorium) during all 3 lunch periods on Wednesday, November 21st. Come to ask questions about the students’ experiences. Find out about their transition from NA to college.  Sign up through Naviance so we know how many students will attend!

Attention Team A Grandview Mentors:  Here are a few reminders regarding tomorrow’s trip to Grandview.  Our trip will take place on Thursday, November 15th.  Please dress in athletic clothing, as we will participate in gym class.  Do not bring a backpack. DO BRING A PACKED LUNCH with your name on it!  Meet in the NASH cafeteria foyer at 7:20 with the hopes of leaving at 7:25.

Find your name tag on the front table. (It should be attached to your child’s name tag). Take these with you on the bus.  We’ll return by 2:15. Please check your email regarding a contingency plan in the event of bad weather.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and we have a lot to be thankful for.  Let’s share our gratitude with an organization that does a lot for others. There is an organization locally that helps kids who have been involved  in situations of abuse. Starting Monday we will hold an all NASH drive to help support the pre-school a the Hearth Home. You probably already know that a good pre-school really sets a child up in a positive way for school.  We can help the Hearth home preschool get boys and girls ready for a strong entry into their elementary school. You will get more details in your homeroom, but for now, please plan to bring on money to donate to the Save the Children Action Network Preschool drive.
