“I was actually home by myself just watching TV. My mom had gone shopping, my dad was at work, and I remember it being broken in on the TV and just terrifying. The phone starts ringing, and everyone is calling to see if I had heard what happened, and what do we do. The biggest fear was wondering if it was over and if it was going to keep going. The day felt as if it dragged on forever and is horrible in our memories, but it’s also a day we never forget.”
