Seniors with a QPA of 3.95 or higher should pick up their NHS application packet in room 314 with Mr. Tengowski as soon as possible.  Completed applications are due by Friday, September 20 at 2:20pm.

Attention readers: NASH Library Club will meet for the first time this Wednesday, September 18, after school in the library. Library Club hosts and participates in a wide variety of activities, including book clubs, seasonal literary festivals, and reading trivia competitions. We hope to see you in the library after school on Wednesday!

The NA GSA is meeting this Wednesday after school in Room 252 at NASH. The GSA is a non-judgmental, safe, nurturing, and affirming place for students of all genders and sexual orientations. The NA Gay Straight Alliance meets every Wednesday after school in Room 252 at NASH. In addition, the GSA has two options for LGBTQ students and their allies to get information about community resources available to them. The GSA Information wall is located in the hall outside of Room 252. Any students interested in US Military Service Academies, or ROTC Scholarships in college, or enlisting in any branch of the  military, should plan to attend a brief meeting on Tuesday, September 17, in The Place during homeroom, to assist you by answering questions or addressing concerns you may have.

Attention students, the Armed Services Vocational Battery will be offered at NASH on October 8, 2019, in the Ponce Room at the Baierl Center beginning at 7:00 a.m.   Any student considering enlisting in any branch of the US Military should take the ASVAB test. Taking the test at NASH will expedite the process of getting qualified and it will be much more convenient than going to the Federal Building in downtown Pittsburgh.  If you are interested in taking the ASVAB test at NASH on October 8, please stop by the Counseling Office and sign-up before Tuesday, October 1.

The Muslim Student Association will continue into the 2019-2020 school year. Anyone interested should come to the informational meeting on Tuesday, September 17th, in room 922 at NAI.  The meeting will begin at 2:40.

Did you know that NASH has a nationally ranked literary and creative arts magazine? Consider joining the staff of VARIATIONS and become part of this exciting opportunity.  It’s straight fire!!! You don’t need to be Shakespeare or Van Gogh.  An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 1 at 2:30 in room 234.  Or stop by room 234 and see Ms. Yakich with questions.

UNICEF club is starting again this year at NASH. UNICEF is an international organization dedicated to providing basic needs to children around the world, and through the club we hope to participate in various fundraisers. If you would like to join, our first meeting will be TODAY after school in Mrs. Volpe’s room (322). We hope to see you there!

SADD is having its next meeting on Tuesday, September 17th during Homeroom in the Library. Whether you attended our first meeting or not, please plan to come, pick up or return your membership application, and learn more about why WE ‘R’ HAPPY 2 B SADD!  YOU can make a difference in the lives of others through participation in SADD.
