If your high school experience were to be made into a movie montage, wouldn’t you want there to be at least ONE scene where you were on stage, facing down all your fears (in a real life, no-risk environment? You can make that happen by signing up for the Shakespeare Monologue Contest! The Pittsburgh Public Theater offs you the chance to get up on stage and try out acting.  You will memorize a brief monologue,  or work with friends to learn a scene, get coaching from actual actors then go on stage and do your best. You can enter to win or you can enter to have an experience on stage that you’ll remember all your life. We will be bringing in coaches to help.  Please see Mrs. Ruffolo in Room 249 A, the GOAL office, so you can choose your monologue or scene before Thanksgiving if possible.
