The North Allegheny girls’ tennis team captured a victory in its first section match of the season, sweeping the Mars Planets yesterday afternoon, 5-0. The Tigers will visit Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday for a non-section contest.

For the third time in the young season, a North Allegheny boys’ golf match was decided by one stroke. Yesterday afternoon in Butler, the Tigers defeated the host Tornado by a 210-211 decision. With the win, NA improves to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in section play. The Tigers will try to make it three wins in a row on Thursday afternoon for a home date with North Hills.
