Thank you to all students and staff who participated in the Five InterActs of Kindness Week.  Between NASH and NAI, we raised $873.00 for Build-a-Chair, helping us to provide 3 wheelchairs to people in need.  The top-earning homeroom at NASH was Mrs. Volpe’s class with a generous donation of $95!  Thank you! A special shout-out to Mrs. Omasits and Mr. Mooney’s classes as well for their help with the postcard project. NA has submitted 339 postcards to the Students Rebuild Challenge which translates to $2,935 dollars donated to refugee-aid organizations on behalf of our school.  Thank you to all who participated in these small acts of kindness to make a big difference!

Friday February 3rd is National WEAR RED DAY for Women’s Heart Health and the start of Heart Month! Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year (it is also the leading cause of death for men!). Please consider wearing RED this Friday – let’s be a part of the movement to change these statistics! Simple things like making better food choices, being more active within your own physical ability, finding outlets for stress relief — any change big or small can help decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease. Make yourself and your health a priority, and GO RED this Friday.
