Alex Flagg
Here’s my advice. Take it for what it’s worth. Go out for things, even if you think that it won’t work out. The worst you can hear back is no, and you are equipped to deal with that. Be kind, be patient, and be gentle -- and I don’t just mean to others. High school is complicated and formative, and the person who comes out on the other side of the North Allegheny is usually very different from how they began. Don’t be afraid to hate school a little bit by May, but try not to feel that way in November. Giving up the tiniest bit isn’t the end of the world. Your GPA can handle a B or two. And most of all, explore your options. Senior year is a the perfect time to try something new -- a class, an activity, an interest. You’ve got the world ahead of you, but you also have it now, if you’re willing to take it.

Alex Flagg is a senior this year.  She loves reading, writing, and coffee, and she hates math, parking, and getting up early.  Outside of class, Alex participates in the school's theatre program, works at Soergel's, and sleeps whenever that's not happening.  She plans to study English.
