Attention Christian and Non-Christian students and anyone who would like to start their Friday off in a positive way-

Attention Juniors: The PSAT is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th. Please stop by the Counseling Office to pick up the registration form and practice booklet. The registration deadline is October 2nd. Don’t miss this opportunity for college assessment practice and also the National Merit Qualifying Exam!

LTA is rock climbing on Wednesdays after school, 2:30 till 4 pm. Stop down at the climbing wall, located under the grandstand at Newman stadium & check it out.

Admissions representatives from a variety of colleges and universities will be scheduling visits to North Allegheny Senior High to meet with interested students starting the week of September 25. All students are encouraged to look at their Naviance accounts to view all upcoming visits and sign up for those that interest you. College rep visits occur during lunches and are held in the vestibule outside of the NASH auditorium. If visits are scheduled during your lunch, just sign up and show up during your lunch. If visits are scheduled during times when you have class, you must sign up and get your teacher to write you a pass to attend. These are excellent opportunities for you to hear more about colleges and meet our admissions representatives.

Attention all students! The Gay Straight Alliance, also known as Then GSA, is alive and well with the hope of fostering open minds and a comfortable learning environment here at NASH. The first meeting of the school year will be held on Monday, September 25th in room 232 at approximately 2:30 PM after school. Bring a friend or two…hope to see you there. Do you love to play an instrument or sing? Want to share that talent with the community? Or maybe you enjoy composing music or want to learn how to? Do you want to be part of an ensemble? If you said yes to any of these questions, music club is just for you!!! We will be having our second meeting this Friday right after school in room 194 and 195 both near the auditorium side entrance. There is a club for people who are interested in neuroscience, cognitive psychology and or intelligence systems. It’s also good for people who are going into the medical field. Join the Neuroscience club!
You can compete in the annual Brain Bee competition, attend lectures from speakers and professors at CMU and Pitt, and explore current and upcoming research in neuroscience. Come to the first informational meeting right after school today in Room 312. It will be really short so you can still get to another meeting if you need to. Meetings will be held in Mrs. Failla’s room, room 312.

Are you interested in learning how to twirl a baton? Do you want to become a North Allegheny Majorette? Then the 3rd Annual North Allegheny Majorette Mini-Camp is where you need to be. The mini-camp is open to grades K-11 and will be held on Wednesday nights beginning October 18th. Look for the flyers and posters around the school for more details and information on registration.

Hey everyone! NASH homecoming dance is right around the corner. This year’s theme is “A Night in the Forest” the dance is at NASH on Saturday October 7th from 8 – 11 pm. Tickets go on sale beginning next week on September 25th Tickets are $40 per couple. Or $20 single during the first week of ticket sales
