How did you get into football?
I got into football in 8th because my friends thought I would be good, and I eventually decided to play.
What made you decide to start kicking?
In 8th, grade my coach told me to try to kick because he knew I played soccer. I kicked a couple kickoffs, and they were all really good.
How long have you been kicking?
I didn’t start taking kicking seriously until after my freshman year.
What was the recruitment process like?
The recruitment process was very long, as it is with most kickers. Even being a five-star kicker and ranked in the top five the country, it took over a year and a half of trying to get recruited.
How did Alabama find you?
Alabama’s Special Teams Coordinator reached out to me in the middle of February. They were looking for a kicker for my year. I’ve visited Alabama four times so far. I worked out two times in the summer at Alabama, and after the second workout, the coach offered me.
What were your other options for schools?
I had four offers total — Alabama, Ohio State, West Virginia, and Pitt.
What draws you to Alabama?
Everything about Alabama draws me in. Alabama has created a legacy that is a standard in and of itself. The coaches are going to develop me into the kicker that I want to become and be able to play at the highest stage in college football.
What are you planning to study?
I will be studying business.
What are you most excited for at Alabama?
I am most excited to be able to develop into my full potential and be a part of a legacy.
If you could choose any other school, which school would you pick?
I am not 100% sure which school I would go to if I didn’t choose Alabama, but I had four great choices of schools.
How do you stay motivated?
I stay focused and motivated every day by remembering my goals and what I have to accomplish every day. My focus and motivation has been routine for me.
How many hours a week do you practice or workout?
During football season, I mostly only do things with the team, so I don’t end up overworking my leg. In the offseason, I will probably spend 18-24 hours per week in training.
Is it hard to balance school work and sports?
It is not that hard to keep up with school and football because I am very focused and organized with what I have to get done.
Are you scared to be going to school so far away?
No, my mom’s family lives around an hour from the campus.
What is your favorite memory from NA football?
In my freshman year, I kicked two field goals against Central Catholic that won us the game. They were the first field goals I ever attempted.
What advice do you have for younger kids who want to kick for elite college programs?
Play soccer as early as possible and start football in middle school.
What is your longest kick?
I’ve made a 72-yarder in practice before.

Brady Meyer and Gabe Porter.
Who is your biggest role model?
My dad.
What is your favorite pre-game meal?
A Sausage McMuffin and a French Vanilla Ice Coffee from McDonald’s.
