How many continents have you been to?
All seven continents.
What do you love so much about traveling?
It’s an opportunity to expand my comfort zone through adventure, experience different cultures, learn more about history/art/architecture, and meet new people. I actually have Facebook friends from six of the seven continents. At one point, I had all seven, but the Tasmanian I knew stopped working in Antarctica.
Where is the craziest place you’ve stayed?
I’ve stayed at a number of unique places: a glass igloo in Finland, an aquarium in Singapore, a side of a mountain in Peru, and a giraffe manor in Kenya
Most exotic adventure?
Antarctica.
What is left for you to visit?
I want to go to Space and the South Pole.
Why do you choose to bring the Terrible Towel on your adventures?
I love my city and try to be a goodwill ambassador for Pittsburgh. I’ve converted a bunch of people into Steeler fans.
What are the most memorable sporting events that you’ve attended?
Two Super Bowls, featuring the Steelers. The 2014 World Cup Final in Brazil. And an El Clasico in Barcelona.
What has been your favorite place?
Easily Antarctica because of how unique it is, the sheer scale of everything, and the wildlife.
What has been your least favorite place and why?
No country comes to mind. Anything that goes wrong is just part of the adventure.
What is the coolest thing that you’ve done while traveling?
Flying on top of a plane, the running of the bulls in Spain, jumping onto a boulder 3,000 feet in the air, experiencing zero gravity, playing real-life Mario Kart in Tokyo, and volcano sandboarding.
In total, how many countries have you been to?
I’ve been to 49 countries.
What are the most exotic animals you’ve come into close contact with?
Whales and silverback gorillas.
Travel tips?
It depends on the country. I would book international flights at least 90 days in advance and domestic flights within 90 days.
