On December 3, 2025, Forrest Frank, a growing, popular, Christian artist, announced that he was extending his “Child of God” tour into 2025. Over the span of this tour, Frank rose to become the #1 Top New Christian artist, with his CHILD OF GOD album skyrocketing in popularity and amassing over one billion global streams. Shows across the country sold out, while fans continued to ask him to expand the tour to reach cities not on his tour list.
Pittsburgh was among these originally missed cities.
“ I was super excited when I heard he was coming to Pittsburgh,” said Rachel Sweeney, a NASH senior who attended the concert. “I knew it was definitely a concert I would want to see.”
Just the day after the official announcement of “Child of God Part 2,” early bird tickets went on sale for Pittsburgh.
“The process for getting the tickets was easy, despite the fees,” said NASH senior Jack Bernstein. “But being in the pit was worth every penny.”
After months of anticipation, the sounds of Forrest Frank and his team warming up could be heard in the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh. Last Saturday, the completely sold out Pittsburgh show took place. Despite the rain, concert goers formed a line for floor general admission seats as early as 11:30. Entrance to the concert began at 6:00. My sister and I were among the early arrivers, and joined the line at 2:30.
After a long wait, Frank took the stage, and the entire audience went wild. However, the artist was quick to correct the intentions of his show and the purpose of his music.
“I really enjoyed how he truly seemed to give all the glory and success of his show to God. He repeatedly said he didn’t need the fame for himself,” said Sweeney.
He continued to refer to this point throughout the show, even taking time to explain the process by which he creates his music. Frank screen-shared his laptop in real time to include the audience in the music-making magic. Fans were chosen to sing on stage with him, and he even walked into the crowds in the pit to jump and dance.
Bernstein was there to dance with Frank.
“Dancing with Forrest Frank was incredible,” he said. “It shows how much he cares about his fans, his appreciation for his career, and the way he to shares it for God.”
Even aside from Frank’s choice to include himself with his fans in worship, the overall atmosphere of the concert was certainly unique.
“Everyone was there for the same thing, to worship God, so every person was so kind and just happy,” said NASH senior Caroline Iregui. “His music is so uplifting it just makes me happy, too.”
The total setlist was made up of 22 songs, including popular and well-known favorites like “YOUR WAY’S BETTER,” “Up!” and “Lift My Hands.”
Two of his unreleased songs, “Celebration” and “NO L’S,” were also on the soundtrack. For each of these songs, the artist led the crowd through the chorus to introduce the lyrics and familiarize his audience before singing.
After all of the dancing, singing, worshiping, and jumping, the concert came to a close. The sold-out Forrest Frank concert was definitely a success.
“Honestly,” said Iregui, “I couldn’t even choose a favorite part. It was all so good I can’t pick.”
