Why the Protests are Justified

The recent protests about freeing up the country have faced backlash, but it occurred to me that the people complaining about it are living comfortably and being paid full time in their office in their houses. What people don’t understand is that soon they will not have a house to be told to stay in or have food to eat. All across the country, food banks are overwhelmed and running low on food. Small businesses are suffering and shutting down permanently as Harvard stole millions from the small business fund and was later pressured to return the money. It seems we have no idea what is going on because most of us have not experienced how hard it is to shut down and be told by the government to not work.

These are hardworking freedom-loving Americans who have been told their small businesses — their jobs — are not essential. It can only be government logic that the 15 construction workers working on the GetGo site in Wexford are not allowed to work but hundreds of people can flood the doors of Walmart and Giant Eagle. Sure, the stores have restrictions, so why can’t the construction workers? Or the small business owners? Or any job that the government has deemed “nonessential”.

The media has portrayed these people as scared idiots who are endangering the health of others. While they take false pictures of doctors blocking the traffic. Why are they outside standing there taking pictures and making TikToks when the hospitals are supposed to overflowing? And even a tik tok so disturbing that nurses even showed what appears to be a dead body. The media has created mass hysteria and has not properly covered any of this — what’s new?

To explore these orders further, does the government really have the power to do this? Government corruption seems to be getting in the way as well. Mayor of New York Bill de Blasio said in a tweet that, “the time for warning has passed” in his message to the Jewish community  saying that he instructed the NYPD to “arrest those who gather in large groups”. Then in response to the Muslim New Yorkers the mayor made halal meals available over NYCs 400+ grab and go sites. Seems like one group is not welcome in New York. Recently, PA took 200 deaths off the official counts. For every death state governments receive $39,000 in coronavirus federal grants. Do the math, that’s 7.8 million dollars. Why would they boost those numbers?

It takes a first-hand experience to really see why these people are angry. My grandfather is a construction worker and has only 2 associates. In the state of Pennsylvania, they are unable to work. Why? They can follow the same rules and regulations. Most people complain that they are “gonna spread the virus more” and they need to “stay home like the rest of us”, but, unlike them, they can’t build a house from home.

How long can we really stay at home for? Until it is gone? By then the world economy would tank, leaving millions in poverty and causing more deaths and destroyed families. These people are mad because they can no longer afford food, they can no longer afford to live in their house, they have lost their job, and they feel that their freedoms are being stepped on. Because when the government has the power to make us stay home and uses that power, a new bar is set for a future event.

To summarize all of this confusion, the regulations in place are a joke. When you walk into Sheetz for example you need to wear a mask yet you touch the door (both doors) to get a drink you need to open the door, you touch the same Made To Order screen, and the same keypad to pay. So why in Gods name do we need masks on? The competence of our governor and governors around the country is missing.

Governors are overstepping their constitutional boundaries as people are even being arrested for being on empty beaches and outside in parks while at the same time releasing hundreds of criminals. In Massachusetts a child predator was released early because of health concerns. Every American should be outraged.
