The Fashion Club is excited to welcome Brittney Theiroff, named by the Post Gazette as one of the 20 people to meet in Pittsburgh in 2018.  She will be speaking about her career in the fashion industry and her modeling agency at our meeting TODAY at 2:45 in Ms. Gallagher’s room.  All are welcome.

Attention NASH students: There will be a Cleveland Clinic Distance Learning Session called “Meet a Kidney Surgeon” on Tuesday, January 30th from 9:00 – 10:00 in the NASH “PLACE” (attached to the NASH Library). If you’d like to attend, please stop by GOAL (room 249A) to pick up a permission form if you haven’t already.

Join us on Thursday, February 22nd for Engineer the Future at the Carnegie Science Center from 8:10 – 2:00. This event will allow you to explore a career in engineering as you engage in hands-on activities, interact with professionals in the field, and check out presentations at more than 40 event tables. You will also participate in the Career Café, a fast-paced introduction to engineering careers in an informal setting. The cost is $8 (cash or check made payable to “NASH). Money and permission forms are due by Feb. 9th.

Are you interested in applying for a summer research program?  The Hillman Cancer Center Academy (formerly called UPCI, the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute) is now accepting student applications. Dr. David Boone will visit NASH on Thursday, February 8th during 9th period lunch (12:13 – 12:43) to talk about the program and applications.  Please sign up through Naviance, under the College tab for “Visits.”
