Spring is Here and Daffodil Days have arrived! Dollars raised through Daffodil Days help improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. Daffodils and Tulips will be sold during all lunches on Thursday and Friday this week. A variety of options will be available for purchase by students and staff. Kane Community Living Centers, Allegheny County’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, are currently offering a fully reimbursed six-week Certified Nursing Assistant program at CCAC. If you would like more information, their representative will be available TODAY during the 6th lunch in the College Visit Reception room.

Attention Seniors: The Class of 2023 North Allegheny Pre-Tuition Scholarship informational sheet and applications are now available through Naviance or through the Counseling Office. Please submit a copy of the completed application and a copy of the Student Aid Report page reflecting the EFC amount from your FAFSA filing to the Principal’s Office no later than Friday, March 24th.

Attention Senior Athletes or Band Members: The North Allegheny Unified Boosters Organization scholarship deadline is quickly approaching. Any senior who has participated in a varsity sport or the marching band is eligible to apply to receive scholarship money. Application information for the UBO Scholarships can be found on the NA Athletic website under the “FOR ATHLETES” tab. All applications must be submitted to Mr. Bozzuto in the Athletic Office no later than Friday, March 31, 2023, at noon.

Do you want some extra volunteer hours? Help the Environmental Club celebrate Earth Day a little early this year with our Campus Clean Up on March 28th. Gloves and needed materials will be provided. There will be a sign up form coming soon for you to register. We will be meeting in the front lobby at 2:30 on the 28th! Stay tuned for sign up details!

There are lots of notes with positive messages that we hope will brighten your day. Take a note when you need one. And please share a note with a friend who needs some inspiration.

Attention writers: During the month of April (National Poetry Month), NASH will host a 30-Day Poetry Challenge. If you sign up, you’ll get a prompt in your email inbox each day of April. This project can benefit you in many ways: you develop a writing routine, build a sense of community, and gain confidence in your work. This challenge is open for beginners AND advanced poets too. There will be a number of other poetry-related events during the month, so sign up to learn more. Students can register through the NASH Student Information Bb page (GOAL & Academic Enrichment tab) or by scanning the QR code on the flyers in the hall. See Mrs. Lombardi in the NASH GOAL Office, room 249A, with questions.
