Our NA varsity hockey team is moving on to the semi-finals against Peters Township TONIGHT at Robert Morris University – puck drops at 715p and admission is $5.  Be there or be square!!!

From TODAY until Friday, the National English Honors Society is selling St. Patricks Day Candygrams during your lunch period! Send some luck to your fellow classmates and share in the spirit of the holiday!

Attention all Grandview Mentors: A few reminders about today’s field trip to the Carnegie Science Center: Please attend your 1st and 2nd period classes as usual. Report to the cafeteria lobby at 9:10 to sign in and board the bus.  Pack a lunch, a drink, and an extra snack for the bus. Be sure to leave your backpack in your locker. See Mrs. Lombardi with any last-minute questions.

Junior class council will be hosting a stress relief week beginning next week march 19th – 23rd.  Monday is henna and face painting in the cafeteria during all lunch periods.

Tuesday is green jacket day! Wednesday we will be having a pop up photo booth in the auditorium foyer, stop by and take some cute pictures with your friends! Thursday’s theme is pajama day, get comfy and wear your pajamas to school!

Friday animal friends will be bringing dogs to hang out with in the auditorium foyer! Make a donation of a dog toy or $5 to come down and play with the dogs during your lunch period!

Additionally, every day after school we will be selling Rita’s near the athletic office, so feel free to stop by on your way out of school!

The FRANKLIN PARK BOROUGH SCHOLARSHIP has extended the deadline to Monday, March 26th. This scholarship is offering 11 – $1,000 scholarships to NA Seniors, living in the Franklin Park Borough! See the scholarship listing in Naviance for more details.

Congratulations to Amanda Lu and Rin Swann for their recent success in the national Scholastic Writing contest!

Amanda Lu won a National Gold Medal for her personal essay. Rin Swann won a National Gold Medal for her science fiction. This piece also won an American Voices Medal.

There were nearly 350,000 works of art and writing submitted from across the country, so this honor is a true accomplishment! These students will be recognized for their achievement at National Events in New York City from June 6 – 8.

Attention students, the McCandless Community Association is looking for volunteers to help with the 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24, from 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 noon.  Anyone interested in volunteering for this opportunity should stop down to the Main Office to see Mrs. Foglio for further details.
