As the photographer for the Uproar, I went on assignment to many events that I probably wouldn’t have participated in otherwise. Prior to senior year, I was more focused on academics and often neglected the social aspects of high school. I was fortunate enough this year to balance both, and I think I was happier because of it. My advice is to go to things. Watch the musicals, wander around the art shows, attend school dances, cheer at the games. Appreciate the hard work that your peers put into their passions. There’s always homeroom to do homework.
