Project Water is holding a t-shirt design contest for this year’s tournament shirts for our upcoming 10-year anniversary. The winner will receive free tournament registration, and their team will get first choice of t-shirt color. Submit all entries to Mrs. Prosser electronically, or drop off a copy in room 369. Entries must be submitted by January 2nd.

Gathering Hope is collecting gently used blankets, to be distributed to homeless people in our area over the holiday break at the Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh. Please drop off blankets in room 369.

Attention NA Students Interested in Participating in the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad: The window for registration for the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad is open until December 15th. Registration occurs online this year. Everyone interested in participating should Google “2024 USNCO Student Registration,” where information about the Olympiad is available as well as the ability to register. If you have any questions about the process or are interested in review sessions prior to the USNCO test, please stop by Mr. Davis’s room (321) at your convenience.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024. Any seniors who wish to order graduation announcements should review the information on the weekly Newsflash sent home to families each Friday. Paper copies of the order form are also available in the Main Office. A representative from Jostens will be at NASH during all lunches THIS THURSDAY to answer questions and to collect order forms and payment for graduation announcements. Please note that the ordering process for graduation announcements is different from the ordering process for student caps, gowns, and tassels, which will be available for seniors to purchase in May.

Attention NASH writers and artists: What do Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, and Stephen King have in common? They were winners of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards! This contest has an impressive legacy dating back to 1923; it has grown to become the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative artists and writers in the U.S. The deadline for writing is December 15th. The deadline for art is January 8th. There is a $10 submission fee for each entry, and seniors may submit a portfolio for a $30 fee. Stop by the GOAL Office, room 249A, for more information about the Writing Awards. See your art teacher for information about the Art Awards.
