Smile at people in the hallway. Do something that scares the crap out of you, whether it’s raising your hand or running for an officer position. Speak up when you believe there has been an injustice. Have a conversation with your teachers. Do your homework. Read the books you’re assigned in English. (They can be good. Sometimes.) Go to all the dances, especially Prom. And don’t spend the whole year waiting till the end because once you get there, you’ll realize there were so many things you wish you did.

February is for the Kids

Amanda Lu, Opinions Editor January 18, 2019
