This week is NASH Student Council winter spirit week. TODAY is Pajama Day. Tomorrow, break out your ugly sweater, Wednesday wear your favorite jersey, Thursday pull out your favorite holiday hat, and Friday bring out your favorite flannel. TOMORROW, see a Student Council officer or stop by the auditorium during homeroom to enter the Ugly Sweater Contest! The winner will be announced Friday. On Friday, December 23rd wear your favorite flannel, enjoy hot chocolate in the morning handed out by Student Council members, and get your picture at a photo booth during lunches!

In sports news, Last Friday, NA’s Unified Bocce team won their first match – in double overtime – beating a very worthy opponent, Avonworth!  Congratulations to our Bocce Team – what an exciting match!

Attention Seniors:  The senior t-shirts have arrived.  If you purchased one in the fall, please stop by room 313 before or after school or during homeroom to pick yours up this week.  T-shirts will not be distributed to anyone but the purchaser.

Duquesne University will be visiting TODAY during 6th lunch in The Place.  Please sign up using your Naviance account.

The NASH Computer Club will be meeting on Tuesday, December 20th after school in room 242. Hope to see you there!

The Douglas Education Center will be visiting NASH on Wednesday.  Douglas Education Center is a local accredited career school.  Their unique programs include Filmmaking; Special Effects; Cosmetology; Massage Therapy; Heavy Equipment Training and Commercial Driver’s License certification.  The representatives will be in the College Visit Room during 5th period lunch on Wednesday, December 21st.

The NA Gender and Sexuality Alliance will be holding our last meeting of 2022 this Wednesday after school in The Place, next to the NASH Library. Please join us for holiday cheer with a dose of rainbow power. The NA GSA is open to all LGBTQ students, staff, and their allies. See you on Wednesday!!

NA DECA members dominated the District 2 DECA Conference held at the Community College of Beaver County Last Thursday!  NA received 64 out of 76 individual awards, including First Place awards in 18 of the 19 individual competitive event categories, and 18 out of 21 team awards, including First Place awards in 6 of the 7 team event categories!  In all, 100 students qualified to compete at the PA DECA State Conference being held in Hershey, PA on February 22-24, 2023. Congratulations to NA DECA Members on their outstanding performances! A complete list of award winners will be posted on the student information page.
