Hey NASH! Earth day is April 22, but you can celebrate all week long with the environmental club! Pittsburgh’s very own Rachel Carson Wrote Silent Spring which is credited to be a catalyst for Earth Day.  In 1970, during the first official Earth Day celebration, roughly 20 million Americans, which was about 10% of America’s population at the time, participated in demonstrations or celebrations of some sort. This week be on the lookout for environmental activities. Our first is to limit food waste in the cafeteria. Tomorrow keep an eye open for the Food Share Table. Here you can drop off unopened, unwanted food from your breakfast so that others who are hungry can have a bite to eat. This can really reduce our food waste. Stay tuned for more activities!
