Hey, NASH! Pass your baton off to those in need! Team up with your friends and community to join in the fight against hunger in a fun and exciting way! Come out to the track for an innovative relay race and take part in a whole day of food, games, awards, prizes and excitement. You will sign up to run one mile out of 100 on one of two teams to help do your part in a larger and exciting community fundraiser. Participants can also sign up with their friends in subgroups of 5 people. All skill groups are encouraged to participate, not just avid runners. The event will take place on Saturday, May 20th. Look for flyers around the school and contact Vincent Rotunno with any questions.

Hey NASH! Earth day is April 22, but you can celebrate all week long with the Environmental Club! Pittsburgh’s very own Rachel Carson wrote Silent Spring which is credited to be a catalyst for Earth Day.  In 1970, during the first official Earth Day celebration, roughly 20 million Americans, which was about 10% of America’s population at the time, participated in demonstrations or celebrations of some sort. This week, be on the lookout for environmental activities. Today, keep an eye open for the Food Share Table. Here you can drop off unopened, unwanted food from your breakfast so that others who are hungry can have a bite to eat. This can really reduce our food waste. Stay tuned for more activities!
